Mother and daughter family management personal touch

What to do first

The registration of the death is one of the most important ‘to do’ things following a death.

It will provide you with essential documents required to move forward with the funeral, and to begin to sort out the affairs of your loved one.

Here we give you a comprehensive guideline of where the death will need to be registered together and the correct forms that will be issued to you from the doctor, hospital, or coroner - should one be necessary, and then from the registrar’s office once the death has been recorded.

Forms - Pink or Green?

The green or pink form that you will receive from either the hospital or your doctor is very important, as without it your chosen funeral director or officiate to conduct the funeral ceremony cannot collect the body of your loved one so funeral arrangements may be delayed.

Your Personal Funeral Arranger will talk you through these procedures.

They will advise and plan with you all your funeral arrangements including your funeral director of choice and all the services that you will need to complete your funeral plans.

They will also help you with any of the necessary forms that may require completion, relieving you of the worry and stress at this difficult time.
